'The Flash' CW Series Premiere Receives Record Ratings, Cast Adds Andy Meintus and Victor Garber For Upcoming Episodes
The new CW series "The Flash" has announced that they will be adding Andy Meintus and Victor Garber to the cast for upcoming episodes. Meintus will play the hearing impaired DC Comics villain Pied Piper/Hartley Rathaway. Garber will play Dr. Martin Stein, the genius and prideful nuclear physicist who has given up everything else in life to follow his work in transmutation.
Star Grant Gustin reacted reacted on twitter to both castings: "VICTOR GARBER!!?? Hell yes!!! #TheFlash" and "@andymientus coming to @CW_TheFlash so awesome and absurd. Friends unite."
"The Flash" series premiered on the CW Tuesday night (Oct 7) and the ratings were a huge success. The series debuted to 4.5 million total viewers and a 1.8 demo rating, marking the network's most watched and highest rated series launch since "The Vampire Diaries" back in 2009.
Leading cast star Grant Gustin tweeted his reaction to the news: "I can't thank you enough to everyone that tuned in. I don't really understand the number system but apparently we did very well. I love Barry, I love this show and I love everyone I have the pleasure of working with. So id love to keep making this show 4 u."
He followed up with, "And don't forget!! #ArrowSeason3 premieres tonight! There will be a quick cameo by yours truly.. Not to mention it's just bad ass."

The new series is from writer/producers Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Geoff Johns. It will be based on the DC Comics character Flash (Barry Allen), a costumed crime-fighter who was created by Robert Kanigher, John Broome and Carmine Infantino.
