'Jupiter Ascending' Cast, Release Date: Jupiter Dreams Of Stars, Fights For Galaxy In 2015
"Jupiter Ascending" is an upcoming epic space opera, adventure and sci-fi film written, produced, and directed by The Wachowskis. The film was based on the original story of the Terra-Papers: The Hidden Story of Planet Earth. Jupiter Ascending is scheduled for release on February 6, 2015.
The movie centres on Jupiter Jones, portrayed by Mila Kunis, a lowly, down-on-her-luck janitor, and interplanetary warrior Caine Wise, played by Channing Tatum. Caine Wise informed Jupiter Jones that her genetic destiny is not ordinary, that it has far-reaching implications that can extend beyond Earth. Along with them are the co-stars Sean Bean, Eddie Redmayne, and Douglas Booth.
Douglas Booth explained that the film will cross the universe with The Matrix and Star Wars while lead actress Mila Kunis define the movie as something with a theme of indulgence and consumption. "It was clear that Jupiter Ascending has the human desire to constantly indulge in everything and as well as the fact that humans consume more than they provide," Kunis explained.
Grant Hill, the movie's co-producer and also known as the executive producer of the Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions, has "Jupiter Ascending" his seventh collaboration with the Wachowskis. He also describes the design as an original take on the look of space environments while it was inspired by cities around Europe.
Fans can expect a unique and orginal take on this movie as Wachowskis is known for not repeating themselves. They made sure that the movie is a lot different from the one they have previously produced .
Channing Tatum reportedly used minimal stunt doubles so he can make the film more realistic.
The film co-produced by Warner Bros. Pictures and Australia's Village Roadshow Pictures, set the filming in England and later on moved to various places in Chicago, Illinois throughout July and August. The cast, specifically Mila Kunis and Channing Tatum, were said to have filmed everyday for six months to complete the exciting action scenes in the movie.
"Jupiter Ascending" will change the way people look for resources and even into space and other planetary objects. It gives lesson on how humankind has a powerful resource that if not use right, can destroy everything in whole of Earth and even the Universe.
