“The Leftovers” Season 2: What To Expect In An Unknown Situation?

"The Leftovers" Season 2: What To Expect In An Unknown Situation?
Though not considered as successful as "Lost", Damon Lindelof decided to renew another of his creations, "The Leftovers," for a second season. With the recent ending of "The Leftovers", HBO has revealed that the airing of its next season is set to commence in 2015.
For people who are unfamiliar with it, "The Leftovers" follows people on Earth right after a mysterious 'departure' created a commotion, wherein 2% of the global population vanished into the unknown without any sensible explanation. The story is an adaptation of the Tom Perrota's novel in 2009, which carried the same title. The show's cast of characters includes Emily Meade, Brad Leland, Paterson Joseph, Annie Q, Charlie Carver, Max Carver, Michael Gaston, Margaret Qualley, Chris Zylka, Amanda Warren, Ann Dowd, Carrie Coon, Christopher Eccleston, Liv Tyler and Justin Theroux. The show's pilot episodes were directed by the "Lone Survivor" director Peter Berg.
Justin Theroux who's playing a sheriff is the show's main character. The town he's overseeing is a small community with shell-shocked inhabitants due to the loss of millions of people worldwide. The series started in June and ended in Sept.
This 10-episode show excelled in being interesting, cerebral and challenging. "The Leftovers" is the kind of show that makes people want to face difficult questions that aren't about what had caused the problem, but how would you personally keep yourself sane if every single valuable thing you have is taken away. The theme of the show will most probably continue, but fans would want to see a strand of hope in the next season.
Season two will air 10 episodes, but given the just concluded production window, it will most definitely not be aired anytime soon. It will not be ready by January, that's for sure.
Are you a big fan of the "The Leftovers"? What would you want to see it when it airs again in 2015? Do you think the mystery will be solved by then? Or will it take away more lives? Will there be new characters? Do you think it'll reap higher ratings than its first 10 episodes?
"The Leftovers" Season 2, will, for sure, have whole new set of twists!
