Montell Jordan to Release New Worship Album in 2014 (VIDEO) Popular R&B singer/songwriter Montell Jordan has his eyes set on releasing a new album in 2014. He has been writing new songs for a worship record and hopes to finish it before this year it out. Jordan made the switch to CCM with last years release of his album, Shake Heaven (2013) that included a duet with Dove Award winning artist, Chris August titled 'You Are' (watch video above). Montell Jordan is currently the worship leader at Victory World Church (Norcross, Georgia) and between his music role there has been writing for Victory World Music's next album with songwriter and fellow recording artist and worship leader, Ross King (Todd Agnew, Jimmy Needham). "Ross and I have complementary writing styles so it's really comfortable working in the studio together," says Jordan. "I love the chemistry we have together and the stories we tell through music." Jordan also took the lead role in an upcoming Christian based film, 'Adopted'. The movie is being produced by Fizz City Films and is being directed by Georgia Tanner, with the screenplay written by Scott Pryor. Jordan plays the role of Brian, a man who struggles with alcoholism while desiring to lead those he loves to Christ. Filming will end mid-February and more details will be forthcoming soon. Montell Jordan rose to national pop stardom with his No. 1 hit single 'This Is How We Do It' in 1995. The song become one of the biggest hits of the decade in pop and r&b and launched his career which had multiple follow up hits. Jordan stepped away from the music business in 2010 to become the worship leader at Victory World Church.
