iPod Touch 6th Generation Release Date 2014: Move over the Rumors

iPod Touch 6th Generation Release Date 2014: Move over the Rumors
Although Apple is known to release new iPod variants on an almost yearly basis, it seems like they are not very keen to come up with a new one this year. A couple of days ago, most of the technology segment news focused on how iPod Touch 6th Generation will be release in the next Apple event on Thursday, but now clearly everyone knows that those were just rumors.
So when does Apple plan to come up with the upgraded device? Are they even working on the project? Will the release date be postponed to next year? According to recent updates from Mac Rumors, the release date for iPod 6th Generation has been postponed to initial months in 2015, somewhere near the launch of Apple Watches. Delays in development and testing phase are being cited as the primary reason behind the date shift. There are also few rumors on testig of two different screen sizes just like iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Many product analysts believe that the 'bendgate' issues have made Apple dig deeper into such design issues that can cause problems for consumers later.
Meanwhile, experts keep coming with the possibilities of features and technologies that Apple will offers with iPod Touch 6. It is believed that creating just a music player will not be enough with users looking for a complete entertainment package. The very advanced retina display and enhanced screen resolution are likely to be included for better video quality. Apart from that, Apple should also include Touch ID and compatibility with the Watch to make payment through Apple systems. Addition storage space to up to 128 GB is another likely feature with growing video and music storage demands in the past. Apparently Apple is also keen to keep the six colors introduced with iPod Touch 5 last year. They were a huge success coupled with personalized laser engravings.
As far as the prices the concerned, iPod Touch 5 rates are expected to fall earlier next year, after which iPod Touch 6 will be released at $299 for 16 GB model and $399 for 128 GB (new) model.
