Bandai Namco's Tekken 7 Video Game Official Release Date Confirmed, Japan's Arcades Reveal Full Tekken 7 Character List
Bandai Namco's Tekken 7 was first announced at the EVO Fighting Game Championships this year. Tekken fans have been since then detoured with all the trailing rumors and speculations. Luckily, the Tekken 7 release date is now officially set to May 2015.
Katsuhiro Harada, the head of Tekken, has more exciting news. Harada told 4Gamer:
"Tekken is one of my life's works, and while I can't say much here, together with the titles we were going to announce this year, I'm also working on several other titles simultaneously with Tekken. From there, I'd like to announce at least two of those titles in 2014, and I feel that it's something I must do. There are a few titles that we've been quietly working on, and some we've been thinking about working on, so the year 2014 looks like it'll be a tough one."
As for the characters, Japan's arcades revealed the full list of Tekken 7 fighters: Bryan, Asuka, Alisa, Claudio, Dragunov, Heihachi, Feng, Hwoarang, Katarina/Catalina, Kazuya, Lars, King, Law, Leo, Lili, Paul, Steve, and Xiaoyu.
Tekken 7 will finally give the answers to many of the Tekken series mysteries: Why is Heihachi attempting to kill his grandson and why did Heihachi throw Kazuya off a cliff? What's the true identity of Devil Jin? These are just a few of the many questions that Tekken 7 is ready to answer. As Harada said, the new game chapter is set to conclude the Mishima clan saga.
For now, we can expect the Tekken 7 game to come for consoles PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and for the PC.
