'The Best Of Me': Explore the Enduring Power of a First True Love
Based on Nicholas Sparks' bestselling novel, "The Best Of Me" is the newest film directed by Michael Hoffman that tells the story of Amanda and Dawson, two former high school sweethearts who were reunited after twenty years apart. They were reunited when they return to their town for the funeral of a close friend. Spanning decades, this unique love story explores the unending power of one's first true love as well as the different choices a person encounters when confronted with second chances.
The bittersweet reunion of Amanda and Dawson reignites the love that they have never really forgotten. However, they soon discovered that those strong forces that drove them apart many years ago still live on, bringing even more serious threats in the present.
"The Best Of Me" was written by J. Mills Goodloe and Will Fetters, starring Michelle Monaghan and James Marsden with Liana Liberato and Luke Bracey.
Last October 7th, a lot of moviegoers and the novel fans joined Nicholas Sparks at the premiere of the "The Best Of Me" film. A lot of his fans were very excited to watch the film and see how the movie stars played the unique characters in the story.
When Nicholas Sparks decided to write the novel, he knew that he wanted to focus on people in their forties or middle-aged characters who are really starting to confront the questions of "what if," and who are begging to second-guess those choices that they made when they were young. For Amanda, it is asking herself what would have happened if she married the person she lobed instead of marrying someone else.
The overwrought romance in the movie gives all viewers two likable lovers as well as a problematic story about love. This explores the enduring power of one's first true love and it somehow tackles every choice that every individual makes each day.
"The Best Of Me" is a love story about second chances and destiny. It also swings between the past and the present. For a movie about love that triumphs over tragedy and time, "The Best Of Me" is quite a refreshing movie.
