Anna Faris Divorce: Actress Reveals Insecurities in Marriage to Chris Pratt, Offers Advice in New Book

In her new book, actress Anna Faris opened up about the insecurities she had to cope with during her marriage to actor Chris Pratt before the couple announced their separation in August.
Following the release of Faris’ book “Unqualified,” multiple excerpts from this memoir also made the rounds online.
The “Mom” actress was open about her marriage in the book, revealing that she felt insecure when Academy Award winner Jennifer Lawrence starred opposite her 38-year-old husband in the romantic sci-fi film “Passengers.” While Pratt and Lawrence were busy promoting the movie last year, rumors were centered on the pair, speculating that a cheating affair was taking place.
Although Faris’ publicist already told her in advance that such type of rumors will come about, the actress admitted that these still hurt her.
"I didn't want to pay attention to the stories but I couldn't block them all out, either," she wrote in her book. "I'd always taken pride in our relationship, and the coverage, even though it was just false rumors, was making me feel insecure.”
While Faris had been friendly with Lawrence, the former said she felt embarrassed with the cheating rumors and she felt “like a fool.”
"Jennifer and I really are friendly, and she was apologetic even though she didn't need to be, because she hadn't done anything wrong, "she wrote. "She's awesome, but of course it's hurtful and also embarrassing when people are saying your husband is cheating on you — even if it's patently untrue.”
After taking a leading role in "Passengers" opposite Pratt, Lawrence said she felt uncomfortable doing a love scene with a married man.
"It was going to be my first time kissing a married man, and guilt is the worst feeling in your stomach. I knew it was my job, but I couldn't tell my stomach that," Lawrence told Vanity Fair in a previous interview.
Faris, who announced her separation from Pratt in August after their eight years of marriage, wrote down some tips in her book for people may fell jealousy about their spouse’s partner at work.
“If I feel twinges of [jealousy], I try hard to befriend them and compliment them and love them ... because 95 percent of the time, it’s hard to have jealous or catty feelings toward someone you really like,” she wrote.
Following the announcement of their split, Faris and Pratt said they will focus on co-parenting Jack, their 5-year-old son. The actor also took to Facebook and shared that he and his ex-wife separated in an amicable manner and that they will continue to have respect for each other.
