The Hobbit's Third Franchise Awaits This December 2014, Shorter Than The Last Two Flicks Yet Equally Action Packed
Die-hard fans of 'The Hobbit' will be pleased to know that the third installment of the franchise is set to be released this 17th of December 2014 under New Line Cinema. Let's have some good news and bad news, starting with the latter. It is said that the third installment titled 'The Battle of Five Armies' will run shorter than the two previous films. Good news is, we have gone through the four corners of the globe to give you as much information as we can about it.
Reports has it that the film will be following through Tolkein's bestselling novel although they have kept one of the beloved characters alive in the film, none other than Thorin Okenshield. It isn't sure though whether his appearance in the film will have any major effect on the plot. As for our favorite dragon, mainly because he is played by Cumberbatch, he has been seen creating quite a havoc in Lake Town as the beast terrorizes its citizens. This has resulted in Smaug being dubbed as a killing machine.
Sauron will also be returning in the movie to battle the White Council. If the movie will hold the same result as the book, Sauron will be defeated but we can never be truly sure as the fate of the battle lies with the movie producers who kept Thorin alive.
Rumors have it that the trailer of this sequel following 'The Desolation of Smaug' will be released on the 20th of July 2014. Let the countdown begin!
