'Teen Wolf' Season 5 on MTV Announced with Extended 20 Episodes & Cast News Updates
The "Teen Wolf" cast was present at 2014 Comic-Con on Thursday afternoon (July 24) in San Diego, California. The panel included co-stars, Tyler Posey, Holland Roden, Shelley Hennig and Dylan Sprayberry.
They were all excited to share the big news that "Teen Wolf" has been renewed for Season 5. Along with the new season announced, it will be an extended season of 20 episodes over the normal 12. With the extended episodes, Season 5 will be split into two-parts.
Also, some casting news updates were announced as Dylan Sprayberry, who plays newbie werewolf Liam, has been added as a series regular in the fifth season. Liam got a lot of screen time in Season 4, so fans got a great chance to get to know his character better.
"Tyler [Posey] and Dylan [O'Brien] are in love with [Sprayberry]," Davis gushed. "They have some really great scenes together, so I'm really hopeful that fans like him as much as we like him. He's such a good kid and he's a great actor."
Sprayberry shared about his time on the MTV hit series saying, "We have so much fun. We do crazy stuff all the time and they're just like me, so there's never a dull moment and we're always talking about random funny things. Tyler and I, we talk about poop. We don't describe it in detail, but we talk about it in the general sense."
Season 4 of "Teen Wolf" premiered on Monday night, June 23rd. There has been no release date set for Season 5 yet. You can catch new episodes on MTV on Mondays at 10/9c.
