Chris Tomlin Joins Pepperdine as Artist and Worship Ambassador

Pepperdine University President Jim Gash announced today Grammy Award-winning artist Chris Tomlin as the University's inaugural Artist and Worship Ambassador through May 31.
"As a Christian university, we want our students to know Who is worthy of worship and how we can enter into a relationship with the creator of the universe," said Gash. "As Pepperdine's artist and worship ambassador, Chris Tomlin is uniquely positioned to cultivate a heart of worship among our students."
Recognized as one of the most iconic voices in Christian music, Tomlin will engage with Pepperdine students through mentorship, workshops, and worship services, bringing his renowned talent and deep faith to the campus community.
"It is an honor to be invited by Pepperdine to be their inaugural Artist and Worship Ambassador," said Tomlin. "Throughout my life, many people and moments have shaped and guided my mission to help give people a voice to worship God. My hope is that this incredible opportunity helps to encourage, inspire, and guide the next generation of faith leaders."
Tomlin will visit Pepperdine in the spring for a day of inspiration and worship. His visit will include an exclusive session with student songwriters, collaboration with Waves Worship, and an unforgettable evening worship set at The Well, the University's weekly worship event.
Tomlin headlined Pepperdine's annual Worship Summit on Sept. 14, 2024.
Chris Tomlin is celebrated globally for his contributions to contemporary worship music, with songs such as "How Great Is Our God," "Good Good Father," and "Our God" uniting millions in praise.
