Bethel Music’s Zahriya Zachary Releases New Single “Better Than I Thought”

Worship artist Zahriya Zachary of Bethel Music releases her brand-new single, "Better Than I Thought," available today on all major streaming platforms. The soul-stirring track explores the tenderheart of God, offering a powerful reminder of His closeness, compassion, and unwavering love. Listen to the single here.
As a rising voice within Bethel Music, Zachary continues to craft songs that speak to the heart of the Church and the heart of God. This latest offering is not just a melody, but a song of healing that reshapes what we know about the heart of God. The song reflects on the personal experience of discovering a Father who is not distant or condemning, but intimately close, full of mercy, and overflowing with grace.
Says Zachary, "'Better Than I Thought' is important to me because in writing this song it set me on a whole new path with Jesus. I really thought that He was a task master waiting on the sidelines, keeping tallies of when I messed up. I lived under constant pressure that He was never putting on me. I hope that when people listen to this song that they feel relief that God's love and mercy really does know no end. He is not staying with me because of my performance but for relationship. That has been His desire all along."

About Zahriya Zachary:
Born and raised in Spring, Texas, Zahriya Zachary didn't come from a musical family, but her love for music began at the early age of six while learning to play the piano. She began leading worship when she was a freshman in college when she felt that the Lord told her it was time to begin her journey into worship. Throughout her time in college, she began volunteering on her church's worship team, while the Lord was teaching her more about what it means to have a worshiper's heart. Zahriya believes that worship is the place where we belong, and her prayer is that she would help lead people to the feet of Jesus.
