Star Trek 3 Release Date Updates: Commemorating 50th Anniversary, Scheduled in 2016, Joe Cornish To Direct
Star Trek 3 release date is not officially announced yet but it is expected to be released in 2016 as per the sources. The news are not yet confirmed if the production has actually started or not. Many say that it has started, while some believe it would begin in 2015. It will be released on the 50th anniversary of the television series on which it is based on.
The other most important news is that J.J.Abrams is not directing the third installment as he is said to by busy directing Star Wars: Episode VII. This episode has a completion date of December 2015. So, it looks highly impossible on his part to direct Star Trek 3 having such a busy schedule. Nothing is confirmed as to who will direct the third series. Rumors claim that Joe Cornish would be directing the film. Joe is known for his 2011 direction in Attack the Block and Adventures of Tintin.
The movie would be brought onto paper by Robert Orci only. Alex Kurtzman is said to be dropping the third installment giving entry to Patrick McKay and J.D.Payne. The movie would possible a combination of geek spirit and high intelligence and affection. The movie will focus on outer space as per Orci. As per sources, Benedict Cumberbatch and Zachary Quinto would return but they have not claimed so yet.
Paramount hopes to introduce Star Trek 3 in 2016 to mark the 50th Anniversary of the late Gene Roddenberry's first tv show. What a way to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the show.
