The Amazing Spider Man 3 Has Been Pushed Back By The Sinister Six And Venom
The Amazing Spider Man 3 movie release has been pushed to 2018, possibly sometime May, to make way for two Spider Man spinoff movies, according to Sony. Firstly, there is the Sinister Six, a movie about a team of the amazing Spider Man's villain characters, particularly Doctor Octopus, Green Goblin, Rhino, Vulture, Kraven the Hunter, and Mysterio, which may come out in 2016 and which will be directed by Drew Goddard. Then, it will be followed by Venom which is rumored for a 2017 release and which will be directed by Alex Kurtzman.
At this point, The Amazing Spider Man 3 wiki fan site is still silent even on a tentative Spider Man 3 plot or storyline. A lower than expected performance at the box office by Spider Man 2 may have been a factor for the cancellation of the previous The Amazing Spider Man 3 2016 release date. Also, writer Roberto Orci had to leave the franchise to work on the Star Trek movie as director. In any event, the third film in the rebooted trilogy will continue be directed by Marc Webb who said it will be his last for the franchise. It will also have actor Andrew Garfield back as he is already attached to reprise his Spider Man/Peter Parker character for the third Spider Man reboot movie.
The upcoming spinoff Sinister Six film is going to be a tale of redemption according to producers Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach in an interview with IGN. They said, "people love it, by the way. They love when a villain finds his way back because we're all very forgiving... there's no such thing as just a villain....There are villains by virtue of choices that people make but they always begin as humans, as characters."
The Venom movie on the other hand is rumored be entitled Venom Carnage according to Flickering Myth. In the Marvel comic books, the original Venom, Eddie Brock, symbiote had an offspring which merged with his sadistic, serial-killer cellmate Cletus Kasady to create the darker and more dangerous villain, Carnage. At this point, it's still not known whether Spider Man will be making an appearance in either of the two spinoff films and if it will be portrayed by Andrew Garfield.
