Guardians of the Galaxy 2 trailer, release, rumors, sequel: Movie will be out by 2017 and a possible Guardians and Avengers crossover hinted

Fans of Guardians of the Galaxy will have to stretch their patience a little bit more as Guardians of the Galaxy 2 release will be out by 2017. That is according to director James Gunn and Star-Lord, Chris Pratt. The highly-acclaimed sci-fi Marvel movie of epic proportions was lauded by several critics including Rotten Tomatoes. The movie also became one of the highest grossing movies of this year.

In terms of Guardians of the Galaxy 2 rumors, Gunn revealed that Peter Quill will be the only remaining Earthling in the upcoming sequel. He also shared that more female characters will be coming in. Among those rumors would be the appearance of Carol Danvers aka Miss Marvel. But Gunn shared that she may not appear in favor of other Marvel female superheroes.

Dave Bautista known to fans as Drax the Destroyer will be returning to Guardians of the Galaxy 2. Also, he is slated to appear for the planned Avengers 3 movie. One of the biggest Guardians of the Galaxy 2 rumors involves Drax travelling to Earth to hunt down Thanos. If one could recall, it was Thanos who killed his family. Gunn shares that there are future possibilities for a Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers crossover.
