Vampire Diaries Season 6 News, Spoilers, Teasers, Reviews and Updates: Show runners Provide Season Spoilers 6 before premiere
The sixth installment of the Vampire Diaries is set to premiere on October 2nd which is just days away. The show-runners have come forward with some new details about the upcoming sixth season of the Vampire diaries. Apparently, there is a new villain in town following the deaths of Bonnie and Damon in the climactic end to the previous season. The identity has not been provided as yet but we can be sure that things are going to get interesting. It seems that each of the cast members is going to go through their individual trials and deal with them more separately than together except for the general threats to their livelihood which they get on a daily basis.
Let us use the example of Elena after losing Damon, she is going to be extremely grief stricken and try to deal with her pain in destructive ways like using witchy drugs to hallucinate Damon so that she may have more moments with him. She will also consult Stefan on how to deal with the loss since he has had some experience with that in the past. However, Stefan will also be leaving mystic falls probably because of the death of his brother. Jeremy will be the other role representing the theme of grief in the new season. According to show runner, Caroline Dries, "he can't just sit there and mope and cry about his problems, so he internalizes a lot of stuff."
Finally there is Alaric, he is a vampire hunter that turned into a vampire and went crazy then died. This time he is back but he still has a lot of baggage. However, he is going to be compelled to deal with his grief personally because of the fact that he is usually the adult in the situations and then most of the others are going to put on strong faces while dealing with their emotions internally, so it is going to be awkward for him to be the weak link.
