"Homeland" Season 4 Premiere, Recap, Latest News, Review, Updates: Will Carrie be a good mother?
A more explosive 'Homeland' TV series season 4 is anticipated. Two episodes in one night, Homeland is back to strike again!
TV series 'Homeland' returns for a 12-episode season covering more conspiracies and cover-ups. Less on romance!? After the love affair between Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) and Nicholas Brody (Damian Lewis) is over, the show can now go back to suspenseful scenes and what not. The TV program is after all under the political suspense genre. Season three, more or less, concentrated on the love -life of Carrie that abruptly ended with the execution of Brody.
Homeland lost its charisma in the last two seasons but hopefully season four will bring it all back. Season four premiere starts with a side by side episode - The Drone Queen and Trylon and Perisphere. These episodes will give updates about the life of the characters.
Carrie is now dealing with motherhood. She has daughter Fannie, the last gift from Brody. She is a fantastic CIA agent. But can she be a good mom?
Saul Berenson (Mandy Patinkin) is working for the private sector. With all the conspiracy that's happening, Saul might have to go back and help Carrie. Peter Quinn (Rupert Friend) will be around a lot this season. The season starts with some tension between Quinn and Mathison. Will it change, as we move forward in the season?
Aside from updating us with the main characters, the two episodes will concentrate on a failed drone-strike. An operation facilitated by Carrie. It affected a lot of people in the Middle East; a new character shows us the devastation it caused. Ayaan (Suraj Sharma) is a Pakistani medical student, a survivor of the drone strike. Through his character, viewers will see and feel the pain of innocent people caught in between a terrible political situation.
To add more suspense in the season, we have Laila Robins as Martha Boyd, the American Ambassador to Pakistan and the Pakistan CIA Chief Sandy Bachman is portrayed by Corey Stoll.
Suspenseful intriguing plot line, explosive cinematography and superb acting - these are some elements 'Homeland' aficionados are waiting for. Will expectations be met or is it a season worth forgetting?
Howard Gordon and Alex Gansa developed 'Homeland' TV series. It is under FOX 21 production and started airing in 2011. Hatufim or Prisoners of War, an Isreali series created by Gideon Raff was the basis of 'Homeland' TV series.
